- It was called Bongeusan because it felt like an auspicious phoenix sitting with its wings spread. It is 301 meter high and is located north of the city. There is Soyangjeong Pavilion at the northern peak. From this pavilion, you can see the Soyang River area at a glance. According to historical records, it is the oldest pavilion in Korea, which is about 1,500 years old. Located in the heart of Chuncheon, it has a good view and is popular as a resting place for citizens.
